Now, take a peak at what's in my cart for the sale!

1.  Articulation Strips for /r/ by Sublime Speech - I have SO many kids working on /r/ this year.  Can't wait to give these a try.

2.  Old Lady Story Sequencing Necklaces by [simply speech].  - We love the old lady in my speech room.  These will be a great addition to my books and companion packs!

3.  March Book Club by WhitneySLP -  I've been really wanting to try Whitney's book clubs, since grabbing a couple other of her book companions.  They go great with Story Grammar Marker, so I'm excited to try it.

4.  Interactive Grammar Organizers by Gay Miller - I came across this the other day and it seems amazing and a great price!

5.  Listening Skills Resource Pack by Jenn Alcorn - I mean what language disordered kid doesn't need help with listening?  In bag.

Organization Week: Binders and Planners Linky!!

Organization Week Day 4: binders and planners.  Do you keep a data binder?  What about a therapy planner?  Maybe you do everything on the computer or iPad.  Welp, today we're talking all about how we plan and keep data!  Plus, we're having a link party so that everyone can share their ideas!

To link up all you have to do is create a post talking about your binders, planners, or even techy ways of keeping data.  Don't forget to use the graphic above in your post.  :)  Then link up using the inlinkz button below!  Easy peasy.

Since I've already talked to you about how I organize and use my planner (see this post!), today I'll be focusing a little more on my data binder.  This post may contain amazon affiliate links for your convenience.

First off, I've had a few questions about the binder itself, since posting this pic on instagram.  I ordered it from Amazon.  It's a Martha Stewart extra wide binder.  It's soft and a beautiful blue shagreen color.  I'm in love.

I have a silhouette cameo that's kind of like a cricket if you aren't familiar.  It cuts letters and designs onto paper or fabrics.  I cut my letters onto black vinyl to make the cover and stuck them on.  It turned out pretty cute, so I'm happy with it.  :)

When you open it up the rings are easy to open and positioned on the side.  I like that about it, and because it's extra-wide, it covers the tabs when you close it.

I also ordered these post-it notes and tabs when I ordered my binder.  It's great that it just attaches to the rings inside, and I find that these sticky notes attach better than others.

Ok, so here's the low-down on what I keep in my binder:

  • Front: Post-its, laminated data sheets, my schedule, school master schedule, excel student list
  • Pocket tabs Pre-K through 5
    • Each pocketed tab holds all of my tally sheets/therapy logs for my kids in that grade.  I keep their medicaid billing forms inside the pockets on one side.  On the other side I put extra tally sheets for each student.

  • Back: Extra forms, data sheets, or daily lists.  I also attached pockets for paperclips.

In case you were curious, my tally sheets (aka therapy logs) look a little something like this:

Anyway, I just thought I'd give you a little glimpse into my binder.  What about you?  How do you use your planners and binders?

Share your ideas in the comments or link up below!!

Thrifty Finds and a Sale!

Linking up with Speech Room News today to show my thrifty finds!  I have to admit my local thrift store was a little underwhelming this time.  It really took some digging to even be able to come up with the things that I did purchase!

Here were my fabulous items that I scored!

1.  Operation!  It's even the new version and it was only $2.  Great reinforcement for my kids.  Maybe I'll even stick tiny foam shapes in there with their artic words on them!  :)

2.  A magic hat set.  Also for $2.  I figured this would be fun to use by placing objects in the hat or under the cups for describing, identifying, artic, etc.  Cute!

3.  Lots of cheapo kids books!  Any SLP can always use more books, right?  It's what we do best!  I love them and am always on the lookout for good ones that are short enough for a therapy session yet appropriate for my kids.

These were some of my favorite finds.  I've also found some pretty decent pretend play toys in the past and books of course.  Since I'm not at work these days, I can't post pics of those.  ;)

Be sure and head over to Speech Room News to check out all of the other amazing finds!

Oh, and I'm participating in the SLP 4th of July Sale!  Be sure and visit my TPT store to get a head start on those things you'll need for next year!

How Do You Use It Linky

Today I'm linking up with Speech Time Fun for her How Do You Use It linky party!  This month we're talking about how we use popsicle sticks.  Woot!

If you follow my blog, you might remember my post a couple of weeks ago on how I use popsicle sticks for fluency therapy!

I use them for pacing sticks and for pausing visuals.  Check it out at the original blog post HERE!

Be sure and check out how lots of other speechies use popsicle sticks in therapy by heading over to Speech Time Fun's post!

Love It & List It: Fluency

I'm linking up with Jenna over at Speech Room News for her Love It & List It party!  This month we're sharing all our favorite fluency materials!

Disclaimer: This post may contain Amazon-affiliate links

Just click the image to head over to SRN and check out everyone's top fluency picks.  Here are my faves:

1.  A couple of items from my store that I love to use with my fluency kids:

Fluency Tools Treatment Pack

This product is my best seller right now.  It uses a "speech tools" theme that's motivating for kids to learn fluency enhancing behaviors (FEBs) and other stuttering modification activities.  View the review on my blog or click the link above to see it in my store.

Fluency Task Cards for Speech Therapy

These are brand spanking new in my store.  You'll be able to read more about them on the blog later!  I'm super excited about these and can't wait to show them to you!

2.  Color Me Fluent

I love this Super Duper product because it's so visual and hands-on.  The students' goal is to produce "orange speech" when using their target strategies.  There are lots of manipulatives and worksheets included in the kit.

3.  The Child and Adolescent Stuttering Treatment & Activity Resource Guide

This is a great resource for evidence based practice as well as giving you practical activity suggestions for different aspects of working on fluency.

These are just a few of my favorite fluency resources.  What are your favorites?
