Freebielicious!

Well hello there!  I've been taking a little break from cyberspace lately for some much needed R&R and family time.  I hope you and your family had a great Christmas!  This year my sisters and I had some professional photos taken for my mom.  Long story short she LOVED them and even shed a few tears when she opened up the gift.

Here is one of the photos along with a belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from me to you!  :)

Since I have a few more days left of break, I'm trying to fit in a little planning for this upcoming month.  Most of my January therapy activities consist of winter themed fun, but toward the end of the month, I like to throw in a week full of "sweets" themed activities.

My kids absolutely love it, especially since I try to have one day where we actually get to eat a few sweet treats.  Soooo to add to the fun, I've got something freebielicious for you!

Yay cupcakes!  And one thing I feel like I'm constantly working on in therapy is vocab.  Plus it's part of the Common Core Standards across most grade levels, especially synonyms and antonyms.

Well this download lets you practice just that, using yummy cupcakes with cherries on top.  It comes with 12 pairs of synonyms and 12 pairs of antonyms.

I like to cut out the circles using a scalloped 3 inch circle punch just to make it extra cutesie.  This game can be played like memory or just have the student find the appropriate match among an array.  Use it however you'd like!

You can download this freebie from my TPT store HERE!

So what do you think?  Do you target a lot of vocabulary goals in your speech room?

Holiday FREEBIE Linky!

So how are you trudging along in these 3 weeks or so between Thanksgiving and Christmas.  For some reason, this time of year is always fun but SUPER crazy.  The kids always seem wired, and I'm always trying to fit as much in my day as I can.

Luckily, I've got something special for you today that I hope will make these few weeks a little easier on you.  It's a Holiday and Winter FREEBIE Linky Party!!

Just scroll on down to the bottom of this post to find some links to some awesome freebies!  But first, here's one I have for you to add.

It's an open-ended game that's gingerbread themed that's made to be played with real candy!  Check out Gingerbread Speech.

I like to use those gingerbread men marshmallows when playing this game, although, you could really use gumdrops or any Christmas candy.

After saying a sound/answering a question/etc., students draw a gingerbread card.  The number on the card indicates the number of candies they get.  They can sort them on the gingerbread mats.

But watch out for the sly fox!  He will make you put your candies back or give them away.

I've also included some pretend candy in case you aren't allowed to have candy at your school.

Plus, there's a cute gingerbread gameboard that's open-ended and can be used with any target.

You can grab this freebie from my TPT store HERE.  Hope you and your kiddos can use it!

Now for the linky!  To link up all you have to do is create a new blog post highlighting your freebie.  Then, click on the blue frog button and enter your info.  Where it says name, you can put the name of your freebie or blog.  Make sure it links to the direct page of your freebie blog post and not just your blog in general.  If you don't have a blog, that's ok too!  Just link to your store or website.  Thanks!
